Zulily Alert - Pears & Bears

I haven't posted anything from Zulily in a while and was delighted today by these lovely little dresses by Pears & Bears. The vintage styles for little girls (and boys) are so sweet and the colors are perfect for Valentine's Day coming up. Although I would dress Jo in red all year long. In fact, I would probably wear these dresses too. Matching mama/daughter outfits!!

Pears & Bears founder, Kayce Hughes, got her start at Ralph Lauren. Now she has seven kids and an amazing clothing line. Yay!

Zulily alert - Holiday dresses

So Jo already has her Christmas dress (thanks, Grandma Annie, but I'm super tempted to scoop any of these dresses up from Zulily...if only they could arrive by Christmas. The London childrenswear brand, LIHO, is definitely my fave.

Perhaps one of the cutest things you've seen all day

I give to you The Baby Seal.

You're welcome.

VÍK PRJÓNSDÓTTIR is a super cool Icelandic company that is inspired by myths and fairy tales (they are big in the Nordic countries). They use Icelandic sheep wool which is a "unique and sustainable source." I just love their product photography. It maintains the mystery and imagination that you also see in their wares.

On Fab.com right now (but the seal is sold out).

Genius

Ok, at first glance, I was like, "These onesies are kind of cute." Then I read the So Rad product description. Genius. They are also on Etsy, which is awesome!

Here's the deal:
  • Bamboo and cotton make for a super soft onesie.
  • Long sleeves can be pushed up.
  • Tighter sleeves mean you can get a sweater on with no problem. No bunching!! Bunching is so annoying.
  • Flap snaps in the front for easy access and extra hip-ness.
  • Made in Canada. Cool.
  • Their product descriptions are cleverly written.
  • Do check out their kimono onesies too. Easy on, easy off.

Also on the mini social today.

Apple-bottom leggings

That's what Sooz calls these leggings from Grandma Annie. From the looks of it, Jo is quite happy with them as well.

Baby Style: The Linebacker Look (or Angel Wings)

Here's the latest outfit from Sooz. This is one of my favorites.

My mama re-purposed this little sweater and added the trim. Note that it matches the trim at the bottom of the pants (which I made). I love how this little sweater makes Jo look like an adorable linebacker. Sooz says that Jo has "angel wings."

Huge sale in Andersonville

If you live in Chicago and are on the hunt for super adorbs baby clothes, go to green genes today. They're having a huge sale this weekend. I mean HUGE: 50% off already marked-down clothes and 15% off anything in the store!

So I went a little crazy. I mean, when you're able to get dresses for $10 that were originally $60, and they're amazingly cute, you have to stock up, right? My grandma Charlotte was a deal-hunter and she would have been so proud of me.

What's also cool is that when you buy from green genes you're supporting local small business. Neat, eh?

The sale ends today so get there!

Hipster Baby

As I mentioned before, I love when our babysitters dress Jo. So I think I'm going to start a series on the blog sharing Jo's fashions.

Fashion baby blog post!

To kick it off, here's a great ensemble by Sooz. She calls this the hipster-baby look. Just give Jo some big glasses and a PBR and she could fit right in down in Bucktown.

Tights from Grandma Annie, cardigan from Grandma Jackie, shorts from Auntie Lynn, no clue where the onesie came from.

My little garden gnome

One thing I love about having babysitters is that they dress Jo in the cutest clothes. Like this outfit courtesy of Sooz.

Tights from Grandma Annie, onesie from Gap, hoodie is a hand-me-down, and I made the skirt. It's just the perfect little outfit.

vyssan lull

If you're not subscribed to the mini social, get on that. It's similar to Gilt or Zulily and today they have a sale from vyssan lull, which carries so many of my favorite Scandinavian brands like Plastisock.

Something new

I thought this kimono that I made for Baby Jo might be a bit big. I was wrong.

It seems as though she really likes it, right?

Grubbie Style

Ok people, Grubbie Style says that they have hip t-shirts for boys, but I would say they work for little girls too (if you're into gender-neutral stuff). On the Grubbie Style website you can make your own shirts: pick a design, pick the art color, pick a shirt. Yay!

I especially love this one since Jo is my little monkey.

Although this one may be more appropriate for Jo's size at the moment.

They're also on sale on Zulily today. Seriously on sale. Stock up, folks.
