Sleepy Songs

Lately I've been singing Jo to sleep. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but it's a nice ritual to get into.

My brain goes to songs that are pretty and maybe a little bit sad. Here's what's been on "repeat" lately before nap/bedtime:

Across the Great Divide - Nancy Griffith

The Grass is Blue - Dolly Parton. (side note: I saw Dolly in concert when I was 6 months pregnant, so Jo became a fan at an early age.)

Sweet is the Melody - Iris Dement

I Don't Want to Live on the Moon - Sesame Street
